The Type 99 LMG is a Japanese light machinegun featured in Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. The Japanese equivalent to the Browning Automatic Rifle and Bren, it is the standard light machine gun used by the Imperial Japanese Army and Naval Infantry units alongside the Type 96, more portable than the Type 92 and still very powerful.
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun[]
The Type 99 is only usable in the final mission: Supercarrier Sabotage. It is a good upgrade from the Sten although the weapon has slightly less accuracy than the Sten. During Rising Sun's campaign the Type 99 can be seen used by Japanese Infantry. The Type 99 is also available in the multiplayer.
