The Type 97 Chi-Ha (九七式中戦車 チハ Kyūnana-shiki chū-sensha Chi-ha) was a medium tank used by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Battles of Khalkhin Gol against the Soviet Union, and the Second World War. It was the most widely produced Japanese medium tank of World War II.

Medal of Honor: Rising Sun[edit | edit source]

The Chi-Ha was origonally going to appear in Rising Sun but was replaced by the Type 95 Ha-Go.

Medal of honor: Pacific Assault[edit | edit source]

the Type 97 Chi-Ha unlike the Ha-Go only appears in Pacific Assault. 

the Chi-Ha first appears in "Henderson airfield" when the players mans the captured japanese artillery gun he must hold off an attack of three Type 97s and one Type 95.  

Type 97s then appear more commonly on tarawa were one supports japanese infantry by making a dug out position of itself, a few appear during the driving seguence and some battle with allied armour in the final mission of Tarawa.
