The Type 92 battalion gun (九二式歩兵砲, Kyūni-shiki Hoheihō) was a light howitzer used by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. The Type 92 designation was for the year the gun was accepted, 2592 in the Japanese imperial year calendar, or 1932 in the Gregorian calendar. Each infantry battalion included two Type 92 guns; therefore, the Type 92 was referred to as "battalion artillery" (大隊砲, Daitaihō).
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun[]
Type 92 appears on the "Pistol Pete Showdown" mission. Once in the field one such weapon attacks Griffin and Harrison. Bonus task requires the seizure of these weapons. With it, Griffin reflects the attack of infantry and a single tank.
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault[]
The Type 92 is a semi-cut weapon that does not appear in either singleplayer or multiplayer, but can be spawned using console commands. The cannon can be used by the player. The reasons for its non-appearance in the gameplay are unknown.
