The Type 2 Ka-Mi was a Japanese floating tank during the Second world war, created on the basis of a light tank "Ha-Go". Released about 180 copies in 1941-1945, the only mass-produced Japanese floating tank. The name of the tank is formed from "ka" — "floating" and "mi" — from the name of the company "Mitsubishi". His role was limited, as Japan came to strategic defence, and the tank, created for offensive landing operations, had few opportunities to prove themselves.
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault[]
The tank was cut from the game probably due to game limitations. Where it was supposed to appear is unknown, most likely Guadalcanal (given that it was there that they were first used) or Tarawa. However, the Type 2 Ka-Mi can be brought into the game with console commands but it only serves as a prop and has no animations.
Trivia[]
- In the game files there are special devices with which the tank can swim.
- If it did make it into the game it would have been the 3rd type of enemy tank the player would have had to face along with the Type 97 Chi-Ha and the Type 95 Ha-Go. In this case, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, along with the Allied Assault would be the only games where the player is opposed by three different tanks.
