Tropical Heer

Tropical Heer infantry as seen on the loading screen

The Tropical Heer Infantry are German troops equipped with uniforms suited for hot climates such as the island of Sicily. They wear light green uniforms, tan pants, and tan helmets and are armed with MP40s and Model 24 Stielhandgranates. They were stationed near the town of Adanti and preformed a counter-attack on the town after the 82nd Airborne Division defeated the Italian Blackshirts. They were accompanied by regular Heer Officers.

Medal of Honor: Airborne[]

They replace Italian Blackshirts in the later half of the level Infinite Mischief. They have 110 health and are much better trained than the Italian soldiers they replace. They've got better aim and firearm control. They will move from cover to cover much more efficiently and will attempt to get out of the way if the player starts shooting at them. They will occasionally, although still rarely, lob grenades at the player, and blind fire to suppress the player.

Fighting against them[]

These soldiers, although definitely better fighters compared to the Italian Blackshirts or Vicecapo Blackshirts, are still not particularly difficult enemies. Dispatching single enemies is about as easy as dispatching a Blackshirt, only requiring one rifle shot or a three-round submachine gun burst.

When found in groups, they are more effective than their Italian counterparts. They are more inclined to move, and will toss grenades to flush the player out of cover. Therefore, the player's best bet is to move quickly from cover to cover and toss grenades occasionally, picking off fleeing enemy as they move. They are also sometimes accompanied by regular Heer Officers who are on the same skill level.
