Private Thomason is a minor character in Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. He is a US Marine, and part of Cpl. Joseph Griffin's squad in the mission "Pistol Pete Showdown".
Biography[]
Thomason, along with Pvt. Brooks, aids Griffin in his mission to find and destroy the 'Pistol Pete' artillery position on the island of Guadalcanal. During their mission, the three Marines come across Martin Clemens and a few native guerrilla fighters. Together they raid a POW camp and rescues Edmund Harrison and two other prisoners. Thomason stays behind with Martin Clemens and the POWs, leaving Griffin and Harrison to proceed towards the artillery emplacement on their own. Thomason is never seen after that.

- Thomason uses a BAR in combat.
- It is possible to push Thomason all the way through the rest of the mission, although he will almost always be killed at some point.
- One possible explanation of Thomason's ultimate fate is that he stayed behind to look after the two other POWs, who were likely too exhausted to leave the area immediately.
