Tarawa is the fifth and final mission in Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.
Description[]
When Tommy and his squad reach the American Fleet, they are sent to the sandy island known as Betio in Tarawa Atoll. This would be the beginning of the end of the war in the Pacific. Conlin and the squad play instrumental roles in taking the island from the Japanese forces stationed on the island. From the landing day, Conlin and the unit fight in several parts of the island, taking out many artillery emplacements and capturing an enemy command bunker and eventually leads the way on the final assault on the last Japanese stronghold on the island.

Trivia[]
- During this mission, the damage of the enemies is the same as it would be on a higher difficulty level and even more enemy defensive position with MG.
- There were no or unlikely Type 44 carbines used by the Japanese on Tarawa.
- No US planes were lost at Tarawa. The fact that some US planes were shot down in the game is historically inaccurate, Or it's more like getting shot down at sea, But Neither around the island nor inland.
