The SVT-40 is a Russian semi-automatic rifle featured only in Allied Assault's expansion packs: Spearhead and Breakthrough. The SVT-40 is a improved version of the SVT-38 rifle. The SVT-40 was one of the primary rifles used by the Soviet forces during World War 2 along with the Mosin-Nagant. The Gewehr 43 was based on captured SVT-40 rifles. Like the Gewehr 43 some SVT-40 rifles were configured into a sniper rifle.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault: Spearhead and Breakthrough[]
The SVT-40 only appears in the expansion packs of Allied Assault. In Spearhead it is available in the Russian campaign as one of the two rifles along with the Mosin-Nagant. It comes equipped with a scope and uses the same ammo as the Mosin-Nagant. In both games' multiplayer the SVT-40 is the sniper rifle for the Soviet soldiers. The SVT-40 has high damage and magazine capacity, only downsight is the high recoil, although in Breakthrough's multiplayer the recoil is less than in Spearhead. While not appearing in Breakthrough's singleplayer, it can be used by using cheat code for all weapons.
Trivia[]
- Soviet people called this weapon "Sveta" and "self fight, comrade!"
