The competition was attended by two firms: "Rheinmetall-Borsig" and "Krupp". At the first stage won the sample "Rheinmetall", and the product of the company "Krupp" was the basis for the creation of 75-mm gun sample in 1941. The Rheinmetall prototype was named 7.5 cm Pak. 40. The weapon replaced 37-mm anti-tank gun model from 1936.
Pak 40 plays a special role at the level of "Unexpected Party". They are also located in pillboxes and destroyed houses at the levels of "Break & Cover" and "Stealing The Fire". Like the panzerschreck it takes away 20 HP from the player and 10 HP from the tank. Pak 40 can be destroyed by throwing a grenade into the pillbox/building or shoot at German from a tank gun.
