Open-Tip ammunition is an attachment for some weapons in Medal of Honor (2010). The ammunition sacrifices accuracy for extra damage. It is available for every weapon, excluding the shotguns. Another penalty of this attachment is that it removes one spare magazine for the player's weapon.
Despite what the in-game stats say, it gives the player 1.25% more damage per bullet.

The Open-Tip ammunition is best used on certain weapons with a low rate of fire and or high damage, such as sniper rifles. The effect will be less noticeable on weapons with a higher rate of fire, as the next bullet to hit usually will kill, as the damage bonus is miniscule.
