The Naval Special Operations Group (NAVSOG) is the smallest elite unit of the Philippine Navy trained in special operations, sabotage, psychological and unconventional warfare. It specializes in sea, air and land (SEAL) operations ranging from reconnaissance, close combat, demolition, intelligence and underwater operations in support of overall naval operations.

Though not a playable faction in the single player or multiplayer, NAVSOG operators such as Tiger 12 and Tiger 4 played a critical role assisting Task Force Mako during the joint operation in Basilan, Philippines.

Trivia[]

  • It appears that the NAVSOG team who assists TF Mako goes by the callsign of 'Tiger' as several operators are heard with callsigns such as Tiger 4 and Tiger 12. It seem that each operator has a designated number, as Tiger 12 is an individual, but this can not yet be confirmed.
  • One member of NAVSOG is said by Mother to be a Corporal, which seems unusual as NAVSOG is as the name suggests a Naval unit and Corporal is not a naval rank. This can also be said for General Barrera, but it could be possible that is under a Joint Special Operations Command involving other branches of the military.
  • The camouflage they wear is a form Tigerstripe.
