The Machete is a secret tool in Medal of Honor: Rising Sun that player can collect in order to gain access to secret routes and areas of the levels across the game.
The Machete tool can be found in the Medal of Honor: Rising Sun level Pistol Pete Showdown. The location where the Machete can be found is right under the main hut in the POW camp. Player can just go behind the hut and duck underneath to find and collect the machete.
There are several secret routes and areas across the whole game that player can gain access to with the machete. They usually include ammunition, shorter paths to objectives, or even access to bonus items like film canisters and more.
