The Macchi C.205 "Veltro" was an Italian fighter plane used in World War 2. The Macchi C.205 is feautred only in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault: Breakthrough. The Macchi C.205 was widely respected by Allied and Axis pilots alike and it was considered the best Italian fighter plane. The Macchi C.205 used widely in dogfights during the Italian Campaign and after the war a couple of Veltro planes were saw service in Egypt.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault: Breakthrough[]

The Macchi C.205 "Veltro" appears in the level Caltagirone airfield where Sgt.Baker is tasked to sabotage them. There are four Veltro planes in total. Baker sabotaged them by cutting wires in the engine bloc, making them malfunction and uncontrollable.

Trivia[]

  • The aircraft bear the flag of the Republic Salo, which was formed in September 1943, although the action of the Caltagirone level takes place in July.
