The M84 flashbang grenade is a piece of cut content in Medal of Honor (2010) and is in Medal of Honor: Warfighter. When detonated, it causes temporary blindness and deafness, in order to be taken down in a way less harmful to the assailant.

Medal of Honor (2010)[]

The Flashbang was planned to be in-game was cut during the development. It is possible that the flashbang was supposed to be a non-lethal option instead of the M67 Frag grenades.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter[]

"Flashbang grenades will disorient enemy personnel and offer the initiative to assaulting forces without the collateral damage of a fragmentation grenade."
— Battlelog Description

In the Campaign the Flashbang is not usable to the player, but in Dynamic Door Breaching it is used by other soldiers in campaign. Flashbangs are the grenade type for the Point Man class. Each Point Man is given 2 flashbangs which are thrown to blind and disorient enemies. It is useful against groups as the range of a flashbang is larger than that of a frag grenade. Being a non-leathal weapon, it can be useful in Real Ops mode where friendly fire is enabled.
