Master Sergeant Kelso is a minor character featured in Medal of Honor: Frontline. He is a member of the British Army's 1st Airborne Division.

Biography[]

Arnhem[]

During Operation Market Garden, Kelso's squad was attacked relentlessly by German soldiers and Panzers in the city of Arnhem, Holland, but they held out until supplies ran dangerously low. To help, the American Office of Strategic Services sent Lt. Jimmy Patterson to Arnhem, in an urgent mission to deliver the 1st Airborne their supplies. Upon Patterson's arrival, Kelso provided cover fire for him while he knocked out German tanks and finally made it to the Customs house, where Patterson's informant was hiding. He uses a Sten SMG in combat. He is easily distinguishable from the other British soldiers because of his stand-out maroon beret.

Quotes[]

"Well, Lieutenant Patterson, Glad to have you along. I'm Master Sergeant Kelso. We need to evacuate this area immediately. Along the way I need to liberate as many of my men as possible."
— Kelso to Jimmy Patterson at the start of Arnhem Knights.

Trivia[]

  • When Kelso dies he drops a Trench Gun.
  • In the German version of the game, he has the rank of a Sergeant.
  • In-game, he appears to resemble Colonel Frost, a character (as well as actual soldier of the 1st Airborne) from the film A Bridge Too Far.
  • A voice actor who sounds very similar to Kelso appears in the fourth Making Of extra. In it, he says the line "Incredible! That building is blessed, no doubt," presumably referring to the customs house where the level ends. In the finished game, however, there is no additional dialogue for escorting him safely through Arnhem.
