Thomas Сonlin and his squad were sent to guadalcanal presumably to defend Henderson airfield.
When they arrived at The airfield they met a soldier driving a truck and decided to talk with him, but the talk was cut short as artillery started shelling the airfield and the marines tried to escape in the truck (one of them didn't enter the truck, ran into the field and was instantly killed).
Truck they were in crashed and they had to move back to the airfield on foot battling with Japanese infantry and a whole tank collum on the way.
Battle of Henderson[]
When they reached the airfield, they met some soldiers who directed them to the marine camp.
When they arrived the marine camp was suddenly attacked by Japanese infantry, upon getting closer to the airfield air raid sirens started wailing as the airfield was attacked by Japanese medium bombers, once they reached the airfield the marines cleared through the infantry to help some U.S pilots get to their planes to fight of the attack.
After the battle came to a close the marines used AA guns to help a PBY Catalina with fighters on its tail land on the airstrip.
