A Bipod is an attachment that creates a steady plane for whatever it may be attached. It helps stabilize the player's weapon and can be mounted onto a number of surfaces. It is featured in Medal of Honor: Warfighter and makes a minor appearance in Medal of Honor (2010).
Medal of Honor (2010)[]
The Bipod can be seen on Deuce's M82 in both Running with Wolves... and Friends from Afar. He deploys the bipod before using the M82 and undeploys it once he's done with the weapon.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter[]
The Bipod is the class specialty for the Heavy Gunner class and Sniper class in Medal of Honor Warfighter.
These classes are able to use the bipod on any weapon they use. It increases accuracy and is those two classes speciality.
Overview[]
When using the bipod, both of the classes have unique abilities. Both will get a significant decrease in recoil and rifle sway is eliminated as well, but at the cost of limiting of what the player can turn.
When using the bipod as a Heavy Gunner, the player does not need to reload his weapon (although his weapon will still overheat after prolonged fire), the player's minimap will be increased extending from the player's POV, but restricting the minimap from everywhere that they are not looking.
When using the bipod as a Sniper, players can spot enemies for the minimap, similar to Battlefield 3's spotting feature. An AI controlled spotter will contact the player and mark targets by placing red diamonds on both the main view and minimap (as well as announcing their location). Allies will also see these diamonds and the sniper will be credited with a spotting assist if another player kills a marked target.
