The Avro Lancaster is a British four-engined Second World War heavy bomber. It was designed and manufactured by Avro as a contemporary of the Handley Page Halifax, both bombers having been developed to the same specification, as well as the Short Stirling, all three aircraft being four-engined heavy bombers adopted by the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the same wartime era.

Medal of Honor: Frontline  []

In the mission "On Track", two Lancasters appear when the player reaches Sturmgeist's armoured train and one of them drops a bomb on a house. Despite being a full air raid, only two bombers are seen.

Medal of Honor: European Assault[]

In the mission "Operation Chariot", two Lancasters under the callsign Sledgehammer One and Sledgehammer Two appear once the player and the commandos reach the boat.

When they appear they begin bombing the docks but a nearby Flak gun on the roof of a factory begins firing at the bombers, heavily damaging Sledgehammer Two, causing its engines to catch fire and crash behind a building.

Medal of Honor: Airborne[]

In the mission "Operation Avalanche", Lancasters in groups of three can be seen flying in the background bombing small enemy emplacements.

These bombers only serve as scenery and serve no purpose gameplay-wise.
