Amongst the Dead is the second level of Medal of Honor: Underground in mission, Occupied!
It occurs in the catacombs of Paris, France on May 1st, 1942.

If you are reading this, your attempt to steal munitions did not go as planned. Jacques was always rather impetuous and inclined to trust, and now it seems that the Gestapo are on to us.
Our group, Combat has been using the Catacombs to move personnel and supplies, and now, we soldiers of the night must evacuate.
Fortunately we have planned for our eventual discovery. With this note you will find several detonators and a STEN submachine gun. The STEN should be compatible with the MP 3008 weapons that Germans are using.
The Gestapo and Vichy's Milice brutes have been coming through crawl spaces that connect to the streets above.
Each entrance is above the main level of the catacombs and moonlight will be visible through them. We have explosives placed ready to do the work. Detonate them by pressing the action button at the spots marked with a red box and stand clear.
We also need you to secure some forged papers hidden behind a crawlspace marked by the resistance symbol. Then, sneak through the sarcophagus room to find an exit leading to a mortuary, where an ex-collaborator awaits burial outside Paris.
Take his place in the hearse, and one our agents will get you to Sainte Marie des Champs where you should be safe until the heat dies down.

Trivia[]
- The Briefing claims the Germans and French are using MP 3008s, a modification of the Sten Gun. The MP 3008 was designed in 1945 at the end of the war as a last ditch weapon for use by the Volkssturm civilian militia.
- This was likely done as only two weapon models could be used at a time to save on disc space.
- Historical Inaccuracy - The Sten Mark II was not released until August 1942 in the Dieppe Raid (Operation Jubilee), so Manon would have used a Sten Mark I (although MP 40 ammo is compatible with it).[1]
- In one of the corridors of the catacombs, on one of the piles of bones, the fighter Millis will stand. He does not react to the player, and if he is shot he will jump to the opposite side of the room and disappear. Perhaps this is a reference to the ghosts of the Paris Catacombs.
