The 5th Ranger Battalion is a faction in Medal of Honor: Frontline and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. He activated during World War II on 1 September 1943 at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. By this time, while in maneuvers on the United States, they were commanded by the Major Owen Carter. Later, when they moved to England, they were commanded by Major (later Lieutenant Colonel) Max Schneider, former executive officer of the 4th Ranger Battalion, who led the 5th Rangers as part of the provisional Ranger Assault Force commanded by Colonel James Earl Rudder.
Medal of Honor: Frontline[]
The 5th Ranger Battalion first appear in 'Your Finest Hour' alongside the 2nd Ranger Battalion and 29th Infantry Division.
The rangers land on Omaha Beach to assault the bunkers but are cut down by MG42 fire from the bunkers and artilery some mebers are assisted by 2nd Ranger Battalion soldier and Office of Strategic Services agent James Patterson who supresses the machine guns helping them advance.

The 5th Ranger Battalion returns in Heroes 2. The Rangers are accompanies Office of Strategic Services gent lieutenant John Berg throughout the campaign. The 5th Rangers are also available in the multiplayer.
